The Art Loss Register (ALR) is the world's largest database of stolen art. It is the progeny of the New York-based, nonprofit International Foundation for Art Research (IFAR) and was created in 1991. The Art Loss Register is for profit and London based. As with every human endeavor, there is criticism- especially of its current CEO Julian Radcliffe. I do not know how one could operate in such an arena and not make enemies through its own mistakes or that of its activities in locating and repatriating lost art.
I do apologize to the community member on Michael Malice's Locals page who alerted me to this organization, as I have forgotten your handle. If you by chance do see this, please let me know who you are.
I will soon be deleting this site. It is time for other adventures in life. I would like to thank all who came by and said hello. I wish you all the very best.
